Default Z06 cam is in boost?

The Z06 cam is in and running. I did a couple of pulls this evening and noticed that my boost is down a little. I am down about 1psi on the low boost and high boost settings. Have any of you guys had the same experience or am I just weird. I am wondering if this cam bleeds of a little boost or if I have a little leak somewhere. When I am on high boost it spikes to about 8.5-9psi and then settles down to 7psi through out the run. Before it would settle at 8psi where I had it set. It still feels quite a bit stronger even with the lost boost.

Your engine is taken on more air because of the new cam. That dosent necessarily mean you are losing boost or bleeding it off.It is normal after a swap to a bigger cam.

I don't completely understand your answer. Shouldn't my wastegate keep me at the same boost level no matter what cam I have in it.

You are probably making a little more power with less boost.

Boost is actually the measured restriction through the engine. With a better flowing cam, the engine is breathing better. Like said above, less boost with more power.

Well I guess it's time to turn up the dial of death.

More cam + more boost = . Did you notice any changes in drivability or off boost response?

what was eariler said. boost is a measurment of restriction. you free up restriction you free up HP.

the theory is make as much power on motor then add boost. you freed up power with the cam swap

I only drove it for about ten minutes but it felt pretty good with the 2600 stall. I does feel like it spools up a little slower but I haven't wrapped my pipes yet so that will help. I am going to work on my tune tomorrow so I will see how part throttle feels.
