Replace The Timing Set???

Question Replace The Timing Set???

wondering if I need to replace my timing chain and gears when I do my cam swap in the VERY near future... I have a touch over 90K on it right now and I know it wouldnt hurt but would it be needed??? Thanks for the help...

when i did my cam swap i had 30k mi on the truck and my chain was a lil loose. if it were me doing it at 90k, i'd definately replace the timing chain with an ls2 or similar one.

yeah I found a double roller Comp Cams set with billet gears on eBay for a little over a buck fiddy.... I might as well I guess. Thanks Lance.

yea go with a doubleroller to be sure and plus most stock chains end up loose like said above so if you have the extra couple hundred definitly do it
