In terms of lifter suggestions I am running LS7 lifters, at least they are advertised as such, and I have no issues. I believe Red is running Morel and he says that they are much quieter than the LS7s he was running previously
Had one Morel that would take a while to quiet down in the morning but once warmed up was quiet as a mouse fart. Hoping these Chevrolet Performance lifters are quiet too, and hold up.

That may have been the single lifter that was rocking trying to rotate in the tray. My Morel drop in lifters have been very quiet on my .629"/.615" lift with the limiter set at 7000RPM.

Drop the GM and Morel lifters and go with Johnsons and never look back. I wiped out two OEM LS7 lifters on two different occasions and finally spent the $ on the Johnsons. Haven't had an issue since.

I think it would make sense with the cam and extra spring pressures to run something 5W40 weight and possibly an zinc/moly oil additve. I run Rotella T6 5W40 personally, but oil is VERY opinion based.

I almost bought Johnson lifters but have a buddy who just replaced his 6 month old Johnsons with Morels because his Johnsons wouldn't pump up in the morning until he was half way to work. I told him to take a Viagra and leave a half hour later. Lol.
