Raising compression, Changing Lifters & Cam

Here's what's happening, I got the heads done and the manifold won't fit, my heads have a lip where the intake goes (right under where the valve cover sits) and I had to have .050 shaved off that lip too. The intake has to have certain purge evaporator canister, I also needed another IAC motor since the one that came with the truck doesn't fit on the 102mm tb. You will need to drill certain blocked passages to make it work for PVC and MAP sensor. There are different bolts to put in the valley cover. You will need a different water vent line that connects to the front of the heads and block off the back ones. I still haven't tried to modify the fuel rails to fit either. My cam is still being ground so I'm waiting on that. Then it's anybodies guess what will happen from there.

You CAN get there, it's just going to require more work. Yes, mill the heads a bit, yes use a .040 head gasket, the one thing everyone missed here is the pistons he's using. Use a set of 4.8/5.3 OE flat-tops or Wiseco K474XS flat-tops if you wanted to go forged.
