A pressure leak in the gas tank wouldnt cause a lean condition would it?

I wouldn't imagine so, I'm pretty sure that's not how they work. A leak in the fuel line, maybe, but that would probably be a bigger concern than running lean if you have gas spraying out under your truck.

pressure leak in the tank would lower fuel pressure, lean condition on accel, and would also would allow for pressure to bleed down and cause a long crank issue. These in-tank pump unit loose the pressure bleed back check valve in the pump all the time.

If you're gettin an EVAP code and you're worried that it will effect the way the engine runs, it will not. The fuel pump sock is submerged in fuel...if there was a leak in one of the lines, not only would it possibly run lean, but you'd have a big fuel leak to show for it. Having the PCM pick up a leak for the EVAP system is kind of like running with the gas cap off (which is often the case with evap codes lol).

If you have an evap code 9 out of ten times it the vent valve mounted between the cab and the box. The solenoid opens in these. I didn't know if you were having an evap code or a lean running condition.

Yea, I'll bet that they're both directly related to the Walbro replacement, check all of the lines and hoses, there may be a vacuum or fuel line leak somewhere...
