Default Quick question about my '06 4.8 heads

What head castings do I have? From what I have searched, I might have the 799 castings. Is this correct? I've read here: https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...g-info-434396/
It says '99 and up 706. And '05 and up 799. It's a little confusing, because I've also read that the 799's came on the '07 and up. Just need some clarification. Thanks in advance!

Open your hood and check the heads yourself, the best way to see what you have.

check the drivers side front of head just below the valve cover. there will be a 3 digit number no more guessing.

Yep just looked, but it was on the passenger side. For some reason I thought the numbers were going to be facing the fire wall and a pain to see. Got the 862's :/ Thanks guys

799's first appeared in 2005 as they came on the all aluminum high output L33 5.3L engine.

They did not appear on standard 4.8L and 5.3L engines until the Body style change which started in 06 on SUV's and 07 on the truck line up.

I just used the GM graphite ls1 head gasket when I did my cam head swap. I believe I got it from texas speed and performance or SDPC can't remember which, but it was around $50-60
