so my engine has a little ticking / baby knocking noise coming from the bottom driver side had a buddy check my engine when i had to take my heads apart he said everything was good just have no idea n one can figure it out some say its my lifters, some say one of my pistons has play n wobbles in and out and its factory defect ......


anyone that can give me anything to check pointers..

have new springs rods n in the process of getting new lifters for a new cam hoping it takes that noise away..

same here just a recent noise 2008 LY6 refreshed with new rings and all bearings less than 10,000 miles
we just played with the tune in my truck , and lost #1 spark plug and then i reinstalled the old tune, and put some old ACdelco plugs and this sound comes and is gone by 2500rpms

I just remeberd, and called a friend of mine who hade with the same problem were both having.
he changed the cam and lifters and it was only a stock cam 4.8 engine that isnt even tuned yet !!
Im buying a new cam and lifters for my engine

ill be updating later

 

custom specd a new cam , and will order new lifters , trunion upgrades for the rockers and an LS9 head gasket to be ready to boost it
