Default question on milling heads

Have a set of 317s for my lq4. How much do I need to mill to get compression around 10-10.2:1cr? Bottom end is stock.

well there 9:5 stock so im guessing milled 40 not sure

Yep, that should put him right around 10:1. Add some .040" Cometic gaskets and then you should have approx. 10.3:1. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CGT-C5317-040/

Here's some gaskets that would bring your c/r even higher, like 10.6:1:
