Default Question after cam change

Hi to all. I'm new to the forum. I've been reading a lot of good info on here for awhile so I thought I would join. I have a question...I put a Maggie 1900 on my truck last summer and this summer I installed an ls9 cam and a 3" pulley. I did my initial data log for black bear and I noticed that it starts hard.. It ran pretty good after I got it started so I did my data log and shut it off... I tried to start it again later and it still starts hard. Keep in mind I am still running off the stock magnuson tune. Do you think it may just be lean after the changing the cam and pulley or could I have missed something? 2004 2500 silverado 4X4 6.0. Thanks Dave.

If you screwed up the cam install process, you'd know. If it runs well enough to drive and get a data log, I'd say it just needs some adjustment in the tune.

Hey, thanks for the fast reply... That's sort of what I was thinking but I just wanted to get someone else's opinion. I don't think anything is wrong with the parts install because it runs good.... Nice and smooth, no ticks or clicks or smoke. Plus BIG gain in power over what it was.....15 mph roll and smoke the tires = fun! Just starts hard is all.

I found the problem this morning....The camshaft sensor extension harness had two of the wires inverted. I removed the outside wires and switched them to the correct positions and the truck starts perfect....For anyone installing a cam sensor extension harness, check the colors of your wires at both ends to make sure the wires didn't get crossed from one end to the other. It'll be a lot easier than trying to figure out why your truck doesn't want to start after installing all new components. Thanks Dave.
