Pull engine for cam swap?
#1
I've been trying to find some one in my area to do a cam swap for me in my 2006 silverado 5.3; I just finished talking to a guy on the phone and he says his gm service file states that the engine has to be pulled out and the oil pan has to come off to change the cam. This came out to a total of $950 for a cam swap. I've never done a cam swap in an lsx engine, but in a sbc, it just so simple; how bad is this guy trying to rip me off? Also, who does good lsx work in southeastern NC??
