Yea compression and leakdown tests would be a good idea. And obviously make sure the crank and cam sensors are plugged in.

I've actually thought about putting my 60's back in just to see if it works.

I'll try to do that. I'm having to use sons computer and it's slow as Christmas. Ever time you do something it says not responding and you have to wait. Lmao.

Check the basics before you chase your tail too much.
I am planing in doing that stuff tomorrow. Seems odd to me to have the push rods be too long with just .008 removed total. But anything is possible. And it seems like I had a couple valves I watch move ever so slightly when I torqued the rockers. It seemed off at the time but I just figured I didn't have number 1 at perfect TDC. So I rotated everything and re torqued. However, I didn't break torque before I redid it. Just verified it.

I used the stock crank and sensor out of the same block. Just changed the rods and pistons. I did find it kinda loose and dirty (the plug). So I cleaned it with maf cleaner and pushed it back on.

I have no CEL's either. Hell I can't even get the damn maf to fail for me, won't run long enough.

Crank and cam were the first ones I checked lol. The cam and oil sensor were the first things I plugged in.
Fuel press is a solid 58 btw.

I'm not. Haven't been for a very long time. But the maf has to fail even with 2bar os. When the tune is dead nuts on you won't notice it after a flash tune. But if it's off a little it will run like **** for about 30 seconds until the maf fails then it's good to go.

It only does it when I clear codes or load a tune. With the stock cam or small cam you can't even notice it. But with cams bigger than ls6 it starts to get noticeable if the tune is off. But like I said it only take about 30 seconds to fail the. It's good to go. I cut out almost the entire run of maf wire from my harness and shortened the iat sensor wire by like 3'. Looks way better with out all that crap in there.
