piston clearance diff 5.3l 99-05 vs. 06-
Hello fellow motor freaky poeple , my question is would it be a problem using 06' pistons in a 99-05 5.3L ? The early 1's have a .002 pist to bore clear where as the 06 ons have a .0007 pist to bore . I would assume both use the 3.779-3.780 bore with the only difference being the early piston being 3.777 and the 06 on using a piston measuring 3.7783 (I would guess).
