Katech ported and modified oil pump is the best available IMO. Harland Sharp bolt ons are very nice pieces. Ajustable rockers are a pain ijn the a$$ and you need valve cover spacers or a lot of custom clearancing.

This is my favorite gm pump here. http://www.lingenfelter.com/mm5/merc...egory_Code=C54

It's just like the melling pump but designed by gm. I used the low pressure relief spring in mine. 45psi hot idle and by 2K rpm's it's 60 psi, anything 3K or higher is 80psi. No shortage of oil pressure and I never have sucked the pan dry. I run it hard too......

Yea, I've always liked the Lingenfelter pump. So you cracked it open and swapped out the spring for the standard pressure spring that was supplied with it?

Yup, I took the red one out and put the white one in that was supplied with the kit. The kit also comes with the truck o-ring

The stock one is fine, but on a 408 you may end up with a bit less oil pressure. I recomend a stock oil pump from a D.O.D. motor. They have great pressure and more volume than the ported standard style pumps.

As for rockers I'd only recomend Yella Terra's if you don't run the stock one's.
