Default oil pump

any one switch to high volume pump after there build .chevy has one in summit for 80 bucks. thoughts

I didn't, but I wish I did. I will for my next build. I think the oil flowing through the turbo so fast has lowered my oil pressure a little bit. If I tear the engine apart to inspect things I will get one then.

thanks for feed back .thats what i was thinking about .i am using ls7 lifters.I heard ls7 enginge come with a high volume pump.

I believe the LS7 pump is a completely different design than the other LS pumps. I went with a Melling pump and ported it slightly, plenty of pressure even with the turbo.

Yeah the ls7 pump is completely different. They are a dry sump.(dret is what people call it for dry/wet) because its kinda a mix if both.

i know its a dry sump.pumps made totally different .i was saying its high volume pump as far as oil delivery.

I went with a high volume/high pressure pump from melling just because it was sitting on my shelf for a camaro that I never did. I threw it in the 4.8L when I went turbo and it is a badass pump for sure. I don't have a cooler on it yet but I get 50psi hot, 60psi cold and 100+psi at WOT
