Hi, seems after the head/cam install the car is spitting out a decent amount of oil into the intake manifold, and I didnt find out until i came to install my Z06 throttle body. Trying to figure out whats the best idea to reduce/releif excessive crankcase pressure?
im thinking of installing a breather and a catch tank, no idea if those will solve the problem

I put a catch can on the driver and passenger side. I caught oil from the drivers side but not a drop on the passenger side . I also installed a breather on the passenger side in the oil fill plug.

 

I get oil out of my catch can every time I check it...

stick a catch can bwteen your pcv and intake

 

+1 on the catch can. I like to delete the pcv though. There is a bunch of info on this over on tech.

what rpm do you spin your motor to? ive yet to find a lot of oil in mine. i run to 6800rpm an it pulls its *** off for being 5800lbs. im adding a catch can soon though just to be safe.

In addition to the PCV? Unfortunately no...I had read of an updated valve cover that was going to be made available, but don't know whatever happened with it. I wasn't aware that the GENIV's were having the same problem with the oil consumption, I would've hoped that GM would have remedied the situation by now.
