not the typical cam swap
#1
I haven't been able to find much info on doing cam swaps in the 4.3L V6. The truck I'm tuning right now has some decent power for being fairly stock, but the owner wants to possibly do a cam swap and get a torque converter. I have no idea if the cam specs for silverado's would be anywhat close to what you would use in a light truck like that. Anybody on here had experience with these motors?
If they're kind of similar specs to the V8's I was thinkin about telling him to get a comp custom grind 216/220 .520/.540 112 or something like that since he's using shorties.
Thanks in advance,
Jake

the 4.3 is really just a v8 with 2 cylinders cut off the block. Im sure there are some differences but i bet they're small. The cams that summit advertises for a 4.3 look very similar to LS1 cams specs.
