new silverados with LS6 heads?

Default new silverados with LS6 heads?

was just curios, me and my buddy went looking at the new 07 sivlerados today and all the 5.3 ones that i saw had 243 castings on the heads, if im not mistaken, arent those ls6 heads?

yeah those are the ls6 heads. thats sweet! good flowing heads should be gettin cheaper here soon

how much hp gains do yall suppose the heads give you?

there the 243 casting with the truck valves, same ones as in the 862, 706 casting heads, looks to be good for another 20 hp by the claims of the stock hp of the 07's 315 compared to 295.

why with the truck valves? now when you get a 243 head you dont know which one your getting?

not all 243 heads are ls6...a ls6 has the lighter valves and different springs

243s are on LS4s which are 5.3s, LS2s with stock valves

the heads flow the same as a 317 but just with a smaller CC

the 243s have basic 5.7/6.0 valves in them...the difference is so minumal i wouldnt worry

depending the pistons they used....but on your typical 5.3 you would lose
