Default new cam... right parts?

in the next couple of months i am doing to be purchasing a tsp 220/220 .581/.581 112 cam with hardened pushrods and comp 918's...

im also purchasing double roller timing set, new gaskets, harmonic balencer bolt with the cam purchase.

also installing while everything is apart some LT's with ORY, efans, TB spacer, and shorter pulleys.

In the beginning im getting the motor power flushed... then at the end... getting it tuned...

Now what i want to know is that am i doing everything right? and also what type of tune should i get, also for the record my truck has a stock drive train and has almost 80,000 miles... i know the tranny and gears will have to be built but should i be worried about the motor?

thanks for your help,
Luke

Some might say you won't need the double roller chain but it's not a bad idea. The harmonic balancer?? Not sure what you mean by that this motor doesn't really have one. You will want to purchase a new crank bolt and a longer one (not from dealer) for reinstalling the pulley. Don't waste your money on a TB spacer. The gears and motor will very likely be fine unless you have a G80 limited slip which will break eventually. Yes the trans may be an issue, but a less aggressive tune may prolong this. A dynotune is the best. Check out install info

alot of guys on here are running much more than that and arent having problems. I have heard that these motors are good for 600hp stock internals. I wouldnt worry just get a good tune. I have 80000 on mine and im making good hp with my setup and no problems. Just make sure you have a saving set aside for a built trans in the future if you have a stock 4l60e. That will be your weak point. And if you havent done anything to the stock rearend, that will be something else to have in mind someday. As far as the motor go for it.

I didn't use one either but I wouldn't do it again without it.

I am preparing for a cam swap and I just ordered one crank bolt from the dealer but I don't know the right dimensions for the longer one on the 6.0L. LS1 howto recommends a 120 mm while the stock one is 103 mm. but that's for the 5.7L.

So what would be the correct lenght for the 6.0L?
