Default need some info for putting my engine together

need to know what kind of head bolts to get for the 6.0 shortblock, also what do i torque them to, as well as is there a special order to torque them down or what. And lastly where can i find a good torque wrench? the one i bought was from autozone and it took a **** on me

If you have a 05+ block the head bolts are different lengths than the 04 and earlier. I got my TQ wrench at sears. Works fine.

I did the same when I built mine . . . read the directions closely . . . I also used a craftsman torque wrench

You will need a degree angle tool and a torque wrench

no degree angle with arp head studs just stock tty bolts

angle gauge goes on the end of your tq wrnech you tq the bolt down to xxft-lbs then tighten an additional 50*s or whatever the instructions call for.

ok I thought that there was something else that I was missing . . . . I did the 22ft lbs, then 90 and 90, except for the shorter outers and the last round was 50 (meaning degrees)

yeah i noticed that looking for parts on summit.
the arp bolts went from 170,000 to 180,000 and to 190,000
and the years went 99-00 to 01-03 and 04-05
some of the main and rod bearings did the same thing on years.
made more since looking at the same thing with the same price from the same company but diffrent part numbers for the diffrent years.
when i get my motor to work on i think it would be a good idea to
run the serial number to find what year the block is.

ITS A MUST . . . I had no idea what year my block was except for what the guys at the junk yard said. There's a s/n# on the side of the block and heads, just get the one on the side of the block and go from there.
