Iv been wanting a cam for awhile now and i think i found the one i want. how do you think a 216/224 .551 vinci cam will do in my 4.8??? or what do you guys suggest i want a noticeable power ganes but i really like the way this cam sounds

the similar 216/220 is a popular off the shelf cam for an N/A setup. From what I've seen is the Vinci is more popular for F/I setups

 

the vinci did well in my friends NA 6.0

 

I'm not saying they are no good in an N/A setup, just seems to be a more popular cam for F/I

 

What gear ratio are you swapping to? And how big of a stall are you willing to buy?

 

i wana get some 373s and what size stall should i do with this cam??

 

With the Vinci Trucker in a 4.8 I'd think that you'd want at least a 3k converter

 

i just put in my 2nd cam, went from an ls6 on 114lsa, to the tr220-114. my truck pulls like an animal, and keeps pullin all the way to past 6850. i also have the circle-d 278mm stall, 2800-3200, and 4.10s. i love my setup
