Sounds like a real good combination to me. The TT3000 is nice for a Daily Driver, but as your power goes up it can add to traction problems in a 2wd. For example, if a Radix is in your future, I'd go with less of a converter. If you plan to stay N/A, the TT3000 (or the likes from PI) is a great converter. I've been loving mine for over 2 years. Anything over about 350rwhp and it's prob. too much for stock tires to cope with. Even I can fight with traction problems at times with only 300rwhp.

Bigger than you would ever want to run basically. There are guys who have fit cams well into the 230's on the 5.3L without headwork. The only thing is that for the most part it's pointless. The truck intake limits power after aroun 6500 and any cam over 230/230 is gonna want to be spun to 7000 rpms to be worth while. Not to mention with that big of a cam you'll need like a 4000 converter which will make daily driving almost impossible.

I had a comp 216/220 .529/.532 114 on my 04 crew cab and really liked it. I was running a hughes 2500 converter w/3.90's which worked great, but would have been perfect with a 2800-3000 stall. It got me down to 14.2's in 85* weather, I know it had 13's in it. I still would have liked more lope to it, but with the cutouts open, you could definitely tell it was there.

I am toying with the idea of a Comp Custom Grind right now for my ECSB. Looking at a 214/220 .559/.564 111.5. Has a bit more overlap than the 216/220 and more lift. Pair it up with a 2600-3000 stall and possibly 4.10's then add an LS6 intake down the road.
