but...we've always made good power with my stock truck intake. i ran and am fixing to run again, a HUGE cam(by most people standards) in my 5.3 with the stock truck intake. With the last cam it was still making power to 6800rpm. Was it the best scenario? No...I'd love to have a vic jr. There is definitely alot to be gained up top by going to that single plane intake. If you're wanting to "do it right" then yes, listen to what these guys are saying and get ya a vic jr

dame what cam u using for ur 5.3 if u dont mind ne asking

232/236 .595 112lsa
236/240 .615 112lsa
and the new is i think
235/239 .601 110lsa

my friend was using a custom grind cam the hellraser cam in his and that was a big cam
