Need DOD swap parts list
#3
Is this the thread that you're referring to Coban? https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=451478
If there's a complete DOD cam swap list in there, maybe it should be a sticky

A super easy way to delete the DoD is electronically through the engine control module. HP Tuner software can do it. If you have an older ECM, then I doubt it would be activated. I mention this as an easy option.

IS anyone running A CAM in a DOD engine? I don't mind deleting the DOD electronically, but Physically is a whole other issue.
What would be the worst thing that could happen if one of those DOD lifters fails? Engine stops running and I need to replace the lifters anyways?
My thought would be if I tear that far into the motor, why don't I replace those heads?

When you say "worst that could happen if a DOD lifter fails" do you mean fails pumped up or bled down? It makes a difference. I don't see the point of deleting DOD through a ECM flash unless you remove the LOMA and install a big cam and replace the DOD lifters. My truck has DOD and you can see the engine jump from 8 to 4 and back to 8 cylinders on the IPC as you drive. It's actually close to being in real time. I'm planning on doing this cam swap myself once the Pacesetter longtubes are ready for the 09 Silverado's which is only days away.
