Will Camaro SS HEADS be a good swap for 4.8...Thanks

Not a good swap for a 4.8,you'll loose compression because of the larger chambers and the bigger intake valves will be shrouded by the 4.8s smaller bore size.And unless they are LS6 heads,the ports won't flow any more than your 4.8 heads.Have someone port a set of 4.8/5.3 heads you'll have better results.

SS heads are no different then regular LS1 heads

also i do believe 4.8/5.3 have same bore just different strokes. knowing its teh same block and the block does say 4.8/5.3 right on it.


if you got the heads milled then it would allow you to keep the CR right where you want it but then again stock heads flow well
