FWIW, the pump Matt put in Erik's S10 didn't have the fitting already on it (it was the truck style pump) but the stock one did so we crammed the thing in there.

you need that on the new one, other wise you'll have issues with it starting. There's a small hose that's attached to it . . . be sure that it's reinstalled !

But the stocker did not have a hose there at all
