Which valve springs would be best for this cam? I checked MTI's website and saw that they sold the Manley 221423 springs but I read they are only good for .575 lift. I also saw that the 131-22408-16 springs are good for .600 and are dual springs. Anyone have a brand and part #?

Just get you some 918s and be done with it! I really think you will be happy with them and there is no modification needed. You can use your stock retainers as well. They can handle up to .600" lift which is plenty for your application.

Not too high, maybe 6400 at most. What would you suggest for springs?

Comp 918s with your stock retainers should be fine. Thats all im doing and im thinking of shifting at 61-6250. You can pick those springs up brand new on ebay for like 180. I got a used set for $100 bucks with only 1000miles on them.

instead of the 918's for 180 you could do the manley springs off their site for 120, your retainers shoudl surely be fine, i spin to 6200 with a 204/218 .551 cam so i would recommend about 6400 with the C2

oh and if you had double springs im pretty sure you have to replace your heads with those, im not sure of the specs of the manley springs but if they dont suport the lift them definitly go with the comp 918

You arent gonna have to replace your heads just for a spring change. You might need a bit of work (dont quote me on that because i know abselutely nothing about the springs being discussed.) but hell, if you want a double spring just use Comp 921s but with that cam, they arent necessary.

If i were you i would go with Comp 918s because they are proven especially with a cam that has a somewhat fast ramprate. I wouldnt put manley on my truck just because i dont know of a lot of people who use them. They seem similar to 915s. Buy once, Cry once is my motto. You need a quality spring for the ramprate and the lift you are gonna be running.
