Here is the topic vehicle of this thread, 2003 Suburban L59, my wifes daily driver. 223k miles, all stock with no mods other than a tune for efans. Still rolling on the factory transmission This is the only picture I could find, taken in 2005.....the Burb does not look this new anymore haha
Here is the new engine that will be going into the Suburban, started off as a $75 core 5.3 long block that had the lifters ate up NASTY, a few cylinders were gouged from shrapnel from the lifters dispersing throughout the engine.
Brand new crankshaft, not a reman. Stock rods used from the core block.
New speed pro flat top pistons, lifters, trays, and LS6 valley cover.
Decided to use head studs because I already had them for another build.

My target date to have this in the Burb is Feb 25th, have yet to decide on what heads to run. The CNC 5.3 heads have really been a consideration, but I do have a set of 862 and 706 heads that have been serviced already.
A camshaft choice is also still up in the air, considering a 206/212 comp. Currently there is a brand new 198/208 500/500 119 in the engine, I do not think that cam is a good choice though.
