Question in the market for a 408ci rotating

2009 crew cab with LY6 will need to do .030 over bore and like to drop a nice rotating with ~9.5:1 CR

been to texas speed and alot of other sites I have some qustions

what bearings ? clivete or king ( when I tore my 6.0 clivetes were looking so bad that the only color on the main thrust bearing is cooper)

what crank?
eagle ( texas speed dont use them when selling short/long blocks)
callies compstar (made in china finished in USA)
callies dragon slayer 100% made in USA but the price differnce is massive
Lunati vodoo
manley

road and pistons?

I want -18 pistons so Id be ready for the turbo later

what brand ? JE ,mahle ,lunati , wiseco ... etc

any one knows a good shop that can give me the hole thing balanced and ready to go ?

Clevite Main/Rod Bearings
Dura-Bond Cam Bearings

Callies or Manley Crank
Callies or Scat Rods
Any piston manufacturer that has what you need; JE, Wiseco, Manley, Diamond, Mahle, etc...

9.5:1 should be easy to get with off the shelf. Shoot me another PM or even better, and e-mail, and I will get you a quote on a balanced rotating assembly!

Maybe you can call Callies directly and see if they have any cranks that have slight issues that you can capitalize on.. For example, a .010 under main size. Or a counter weight was damaged and just needs ground down and re balanced. But I will say this.. Even tho our Compstar line is made in china, finished in the USA. Ive seen these cranks in engines that dyno 800+ horse. But if you do decide to get a dragon slayer, you can be sure it will hold up. Ive personally seen a Magnum XL crank hold 2200 horse on the dyno. Just my 2 cents.
