LS9 head gasket thickness and compression ?
So i have built a LS2 .030 with wiseco K398X3 pistons, block deck hasn't been touched. The heads are sdpc cnc LS3 heads 70cc, they say milling .030 makes them 65cc. What i read on wiseco site said with 65cc these are 10.6:1.
I plan on running a direct port 300 shot, and was thinking of using the LS9 head gaskets due to the higher cylinder pressure.
Anyone know the thickness of theses gaskets or have any input ?
Also the block is studded, head studs, ported ls6 pump, billet timing set, rings gapped for spray and ATI balancer.
Camshaft is a mast #912-113 226/246 600/612 115 designed for SC 427 but should work well for 300 shot.

Thanks for the info.
Your 5.3 runs just as quick as the built lq4 in my SS and from your sig it trapped faster too but the previous owner of my rig got it to run 12.16 at 110 with a 150 shot on 22's spinning out of the hole lmao

yeah the compressed (torqued down) thickness should be .051" .. just make sure the gasket bore size is correct with your engine.. You dont want a 4.000" gasket with a 4.030" cylinder (just an example).. Sounds like you got a pretty serious build going together though
