Default ls7 lifter noise?

Trucks been making this noise for a while now. It sounds like crickets/squeaking and goes away after 1000RPM, so basically at idle. What does it sound like to you guys? Link to youtube video-

Bump bump. It sounds like its coming from the rear passenger side of the motor. Iv put a stethoscope to the valve cover but could not hear anything abnormal. After a little research, I'm starting to think its the ls7 lifter roller going out . The thing is though, its been making this noise for a while. Wouldn't it fail pretty quickly? The noise seems to go away when giving it throttle.

I don't hear anything that would make me want to stop driving it.

These motors are so loud anyway, I havent owned a LS that didn't tick and clatter with lifter noise at idle. You hit the throttle and that bumps oil pressure making the lifter quiet, sounds pretty normal to me. Bump your idle rpm up some.

To me there is no way to know if the roller is chewing the cam up with what you are hearing. If the lifter turned sideways you'd know in a hurry that's for sure. Or if your drain plug magnet was just covered in lots of metal.

Maybe its not so noticeable in the video but there is 100% a squeaking noise coming from the passenger side. I am familiar with the sewing machine noise, as that is very common. But its the squeaking noise that gets me and I can't figure out what the variable is to it. All i know is that is does it while idling and first/second gear light driving?? I just installed a set of heads and I really really wish I would have just pulled all the ls7 lifters to check them while I was in there It was making this noise before but I just assumed it was a small exhaust leak/rubbing some place.

If its a bad lifter chances are its chewing a cam lobe up.... If you really dont wnat to pull the heads back off you could pull the cam out just to investigate.... But im with ffdp on this one i didnt really hear anything out of the ordinary....
