well that's with 1.8 rocker arms we have 1.7 so I'm 99% sure that the lift wouldn't be that high.

HAHAHAHA YOUD JUST NEED A 4500 STALL TO GET IN THE POWERBAND AND YOUD SHIFT AT 11,000 RPM...

CAN WE SAY OVERREV??

I THINK IT WOULD PROBABLY WANT MORE AIR THAN THE 4.8 COULD FLOW

Sorry guys... I didn't mean to be cryptic or start a conspiracy or something...

I cam doctored the LS7 cam late in 2005... LS1Tech thread is below (Sticky in LS2-LS7 Internal Engines on LS1 Tech)... read it. One guy in the thread talks about losing 10rwhp in a 346. I have one other source with similar results. Thats 2 data points... unconfirmed. This is the internet... sometimes you just have to go for it... sometimes you are getting sunshine blown up your ***... sometimes folks are on the level with the information they have - which is sometimes unconfirmed as is the case with me in this particular instant. Trust me I don't make it a habit to throw speculation out there. I usually try to have hard facts to back up what I say. In this case I have a couple of internet data points. I have personally not installed an LS7 cam in an otherwise stock lower cubed GENIII motor just to see what happened. One thing I can say with somewhat certainty... the LS7 cam was NOT designed for the heads and cubic inches normal truck guys discuss. Throw an 02-04 LS6 cam into the conversation and results change... for the better. If you decided to get a wild hair and try it... I sure as hell wouldn't hold it against you... especially if you made enough power to make it worth it to you.

Apologies for any confusion...
Bill
