Default ls6 mani on newer 5.3's

i remember there being some talk about the newer 5.3 water pumps maybe being able to clear an ls6 manifold, with drive by wire throttle body. did anybody ever try it? i'm about to start a 5.3l n/a project and looking to upgrade the intake. depending on price we will either go with a ls6 manifold or with the new edelbrock manifold and 90mm tb. also the yukon has flex fuel, and I'm trying to remember what was different between the injectors. were they taller or just a different plug?

even with the new waterpump you still have to modify the acc bracket and relocate the idler pulley. I'd go with the Edelbrock, injector height and tb gasket might be your only issues..........

seems like the edelbrock fuel rails had two holes in the rail mounts. one for long injectors one for short injectors.

the new truck wp won't work with the dbw throttle bodies, only the cable style.
you will need an ls1/ls6/ls2 style wp

sounds like we'll be using the new pro flow manifold then. besides flow whats the difference between the non flex fuel and the flex fuel injectors?
