Default ls6 heads on 5.3

Found a deal on a set of ls6 heads with a polished weiand intake. Truck already has headers, small cam, 125 shot, 2800 stall and a tune. I was just curious if it would be worth the swap to put this stuff on. So far the truck has gone 8.0s with steet tires on the spray. Looking to go a little faster

Unless you mill the heads a bit you will lose CR and bottom end torque. You could always sell them and make a $ if you don't use them.

Waste of time, use the search on the top right corner!!

search weiand and you will see how it worked and what it took to install it under my screen name.

Its a 05 gmc. The heads are already milled. Im just curious if its gonna be worth the headache of doing it or if I should just leave it alone and find power somewhere else

from a 15-20mph roll it spins tires for about 2 1/2 blocks looking for shorty headers.

Yes, the heads should make a nice gain. Stock 5.3 heads are 61cc I believe. I'd mill down the 243s as much as possible to get your compression to stock levels or higher.
