anyone have an idle clip in a 5.3?

 

idles almost like stock, depending greatly on what year cam (LSA differences)

 

whats the best ls6 cam i was hearing a 01.... but i could be wrong.....

 

The newer version out of the 405HP version is the better one. The older one I think has the smaller base circle and will need different push rods. Its also not as aggressive.

 

The 02+ ls6 cam has a smaller base circle and will require longer pushrods as well

 

i had a 03 ls6 in my 4.8 and it idle stock even with no cats, i also used stock push rods, worked fine

 

i just installed a 04 ls6 cam in my truck and it idles just the same as stock even with out a tune (which is next as soon as i can get ahold wheatly) but it performs pretty good but i cant wait till i get the tune it should be awsome
