Default LS3 vs L92 heads

Quick little question here, is it more worth it to buy LS3 heads over the L92s even if I am going to switch out the valve springs? The difference in price is about $240. Just wondering what you guys think.

So bump to $450 price difference but I am unsure of the bump in compression. What would that turn out to be on say a stock LS3, you CNC the heads compression then equals ?????

It may be worth the extra $450 I just wanted to hear yall’s thoughts first

What engine are you putting them on?

I think the only real difference is what the valves are made of, but someone who knows more will have to confirm that.

IMO the GMPP LS3 heads are the best bang for the buck, stock casting, head you can get.

They are basically the same chamber size, 68.4 vs 68.5 so no compression change (change in head gasket thickness or milling heads = compression change). The CNC is the porting of intake/exhaust runners thus allowing more air in/out of the head. More air in/out generally helps in the power category.

LS3 has sodium filled intake valve (a little lighter)

L92 has solid intake valve

Don't mean to sound ignorant but what would be the purpose of that? I'm assuming it is a performance thing but is it something else?
