Default LQ4 with ZR1 cam?

Have been doing some searching but havnt really found anything, hoping you guys can help! Iv got an LQ4(04 2500HD) and was looking at doing a cam swamp and came across a ZR1 cam on cal speeds website for 150$ But i havnt heard anything about this cam before and wonderd if it would be worth putting in? Would i still need ls6 Springs? Or hardened push rods?

Its not the best cam for your heavy truck, you will loose low end tq that you need. There are better off the shelf grinds available. What are you goals for the truck, what do you do with it?

Not to much towing. Going more towards the racing/track. I just want it to be fast haha I'm use to a build up duramax so I was thinking cam, lts and a good tune. The price is what caught my eye

If you plan on staying n/a go a different route on the cam. only 22hp gain and loss in lowend tq up till 3000rpms sucks for the effort of a cam swap IMO TSP228 would give you 35-40hp

That cam is also designed for a rectangular port head.

Im Sure a 6.0 would pull good in a c10, its probaly 4k lighter then my truck lol and no tranny work besides the transgo hd shift kit. Iv heard the 4l80e's dont need much work.
