a link to the sticky would be good too.

Here is some more info copied from the L92 info sticky.
At the moment I don't believe the heads are availiable. All production pieces now are going torward the assembly line. That was a month ago anyhow.

TurboGibbs, in regards to the heads, do the exhaust ports/bolt pattern/position look same as our 6.0L ones? Have you tried to bolt up our exhaust manifold?
I read on lstech about all the guys waiting for the L76 intake. I know it's an Aussie car intake and that's why all the lstech crew want it for their cars. But as we have trucks, we would be able to use the L92 Esky intake, right?
I sifted through all the pages on lstech and realised the potential of the heads/intake but was really hoping to find someone who has got it installed.....
Please keep the info coming.....

I put an exhaust gasket up to the head and everything matched perfectly. As far as if the ports are raised or not I do not know. I don't think they are but if any not much. They are at the machine shop right now getting guides and seats put in them otherwise I would go and check. I bought mine with no guides and seats because it was the only way I could get them at the time and I needed them now. It would be cheaper to buy them with seats and guides or complete by far.

Sorry for the multitude of direct questions..................I'm just keen to find out if it is a cost effective/realistic goal to get this stuff direct from GM and get it to work......

Once again, there is a pic in the LS1tech, L92 info sticky. It appears to be a returnless fuel rail.

These new heads have pretty large (volume) intake runners (260cc
) and may cause a loss of low end torque in 6.0l truck engines that use longer duration cams such as 224+º. These heads are ideal for engines in smaller lighter car type applications which is why they're so popular with the car crowd already. That being said, they can make for a nice N/A stroker 402 setup or a std. 6.0l with a power adder.
I'm not exactly sure why GM chose to install these heads on a truck first, but they did. Evidently they've figured out how to time the valve events to maintain low end grunt and driveability. The high intake flow handles the mid range and top end torque.
Lastly, always remember to try and choose a smaller duration cam when installing these heads and intake in a truck application. My best guess would be to down size the cam by 8-10º duration.
We should have a bit more info about these head swaps on 6.0l engines in the next couple of months.

I believe there are going to be quite a few disappointed folks after installing the L92 setup, mainly because they don't realize (or understand) how HUGE the intake runners are on these heads....and how that's going to significantly affect the engine's power/tq output.
