Default low mile cam swap question

new to ls1 world so i have some parts intergity questions

i was thinking of doing a cam change before i install the 5.3L and when it was pulled it had 5,000 miles on it, are the stock oil pump and timing chain still able to hold up with the abuse of a 22x duration camshaft? thinking lunati voodoo, but will definatley be doing spring/retainers change.

might as well get it out of the way before she gets transplanted what do you think?

Most people, when swapping a cam put in a new ported oil pump to get a little better flow, and some shim the oil pump for higher PSI as well. Look into an ls6 oil pump.

Should be fine, with 5000 miles the motors probably well broken in by now.

Dont forget to upgrade springs and pushrods as well, they are weak points.
