Loss of oil pressure....

That's frustrating...cheaping out the cheapest part. I've been snooping around 'boutique' suppliers like Texas Speed, Michigan Motorworks, LSXeleration. I've often assumed the more economical parts or packages are a lot of the same knockoff (chinese) parts under different labels. For the money we spend on cam/lifter kits, you'd think they could at least throw in quality OEM trays. Not like we're expecting linked lifters at the prices the packages go for. I do expect more than 1 sticker though.

When making said purchases, Some Times you should staying away from saving a few bucks on house brand generics... In some cases the money you save up front will cost you later on down the road....
The Texas Speed trays where in generic clear plastic bags with TSP labels of the part number.
The ones I purchased from SDPC were Genuine GM in the original AC Delco bags.
As for LSXeleration, I have only purchased name brand parts and so far I have had good luck.
Michigan Motorsports, I haven't used as they seem slight more expensive with No benefit. I also see they sell alot of "Generic" stuff That I wouldn't run in a stock replacement motor...
I have only had a few issues with Summit and So far they have made good on the small issues I have had. It's just my opinion but it seems like the decreased there work force when the pandemic hit and were never able to recover that. They do have a Rep on here and he can be helpful to work with.

They were having issues with the trays, they were almost flexable.

I watch this guy from Smeding Performance in San Antonio. He talked a bit about link bar setups. I believe he said for stock rebuilds, the GM Genuine are still okay? Link setup for really high RPM? I'll have to watch it again...

@MikeGyver I am not sure
GM released a new part number for performance lifters btw. I have yet to see anyone use it but they are genuine GM and not Delphi repros.

Also, I found these guides....are they a compatible upgrade or a viable replacement for the recently sketchy GM trays for all LS or just aftermarket LSX blocks? Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Summit's been good- especially shipping to my drive by town in a flyover state. Only other vendor as fast as them is Bob at Brute Speed. Pretty sure the Procharger stuff just drop ships from ATI in Lenexa, KS, down the road, but usually 2.5 days from order placed to delivery at most.
