No loc tite here and never used a torque wrench on rocker bolts. Never had an issue. I call it my elbow clicker

you and atomic both make me wonder if I should ever worry about torque specs again haha

Torquing them to spec takes what, all of 5 minutes? Plus it ensures consistent preload (matching what you measured assuming you also torqued to 22lbs when measuring) and consistency at each rocker. Plus, if you check around there's plenty of posts out there from people snapping the bolts off in the head.

I will say however, that I never torqued the rockers to GMs protocol aligning with the position of the pistons. I'd torque them all at once. Turn the motor over a couple times manually then re-check torque spec on the bolts.

I do use a torque wrench on head bolts though. Hard to judge 110ftlbs by hand, 20ftlb I can guess pretty good at.
