Default Lifter locks

Alright i am getting ready to start my cam swap next week or weekend i know the 5.3 like the other ls style have the lifter locks to hold them up while you pull the cam out, my question is have any of you guys had one not hold and fall into the crank case?? or am i just worrying for no reason

buy a wood dowel rod and slide one in on each side of the cam if ur worried. it shows u on the ls1howto rite up...
