Default L92 vs LS3

Are the L92(Esky/Denali 6.2L) and the LS3(Corvette 6.2L) engines the same? If not what are the differences? I want to have one built to a 427ci but wanted to know if one block was better than the other.

The LSX is iron vs the LS3/L92 being aluminum. The LSX I can use later when I want to run 20-30 lbs of boost, lol.
