Where did you get such an idea? Stick with GenIII parts on a GenIII power plant. You making things overly complicated. There are plenty of good cams available specific to the GenIII. Might try something in the 220 range with 585 and 114LSA. Sweet.

FWIW, the sub 220 duration cams work well for daily drivers and milder applications. Since your truck is lifted it would be wise to get a cam with good low end unless you plan to put a higher stall torque converter in there. If you plan any mods past a cam in that truck, start saving for a transmission

IIRC, there's a few guys on here with a 212/216 type cam that comp sells. They've had good results so far in their applications.
