L35 5.7L vortec motor? worht building?
#1
hey guys the 5.7L (350c.i.) vortec motor is the easiest of easy and one of the cheaper swaps into my truck with little alteration of anything-
i was wondering- grabbing a 99 or 2000 5.7L vortec and doing the following would allow for 600 to 700whp
4-bolt mains w/ ARP studs
Eagle rods
JE 8.5:1 CR boost pistons
Total seal rings
Clevite bearings
balanced/blueprinted
ARP rod bolts
ARP studs on the cylinder heads
lots of cylinder head work
mild to big boost cam
S78 turbo
full built 4l65e
would that set-up be good for those power goals-

you can build that engine to make that power amount easily, not sure about the induction you would use. i think those injectors only feed about 350-400 rwhp if that. i think that motor hog pointed out has a little bit to high of compression for what you wanna do....
