Default Internal engine bolts?

I know head bolts are TTY so they cannot be reused, but what about other bolts? Such as rod bolts, main bolts, cam plate bolts, etc, are they torqued to yeild or are they reusable?

Mains are TTY and should be thrown away once loosened.

Rod bolts, main bolts, and head bolts should not be reused. The rest are ok IIRC.

Correct. The crank snout/pulley bolt is also TTY.

I tried to reuse one once and stripped about half the threads out of the crank snout.

did you try to pull the balancer on the crank on with it? Ive always used the tool to put the balancer on and then screw in the bolt and hit it with an air gun.. never had any problem. The one time I did try to pull the pulley on with the bolt i stripped the threads

it better be damn tight. i personally seen one that was not tight enough. the bolt worked out then the pulley started to wobble. it basically ruined the crank snout. we had to key it in two places to make it work correctly again. how tight he had it i don't know. just putting it out there. i crank mine to 250ftlb as speced to seat the pulley.
