I need cam specs
#1
As you can tell from my sig i have a 5.4 i have not been able to find the specs for there cams.. The reason i ask is because with ford the 5.4 and 4.6 cams are interchangable and i found a 2000 mustang gt cam set ( modular motors come with 2 cams) and i can pick them up for 100 bucks i just wanna know if the swap will be worth it.The gt's cam specs are:
Camshaft lift: .505/.534-inch lift Duration (I/E) @ .050" 186/194
if it does work how much of a power gain can i expect.

Barely Boosted,
The 186/194 would actually have fairly decent torque from 2,000 to 4,000 RPM's in my opinion. What are the specs for your truck's cams now. I would suspect that it would be similar with maybe a little less lift for quieter operation. Do a little research. Stay away from cams above about 200/206 because anything larger will emphasize upper register HP and sacrifice low to mid range torque. Nasty N8 is right to be cautious.
