I currently have cable throttle body, is there an easy conversion to DBW? Will this intake clear the truck accessories?

I also have a return style fuel system....How do I get past this?

honestly first thing Id do is take the block to a reputable engine builder have em test it and get back too you then you can plan the rest of the setup from there.

You got to do this first if the block is no good you need to know and you also need to know bore to setup the top half and order your pistons

I just called Joey's Engine in Houston and they said bore and hone is $56 and cleaning and inspection is $25. I'll see about other tests when I get there. I think I am going to have it bored .030 depending on what is suggested by them. In a couple weeks I will put my rods and pistons on order. Then I will see about the l92 intake swap and stuff, might have to make things a little easier and look into a bunch of fbody accessories so I dont have to mess with spacers or custom mods.

Have them sonic test the major thrust(left side of each bank facing motor) and between cylinder areas. If he gives you a number post it up. This will let you know how big you can go over, I wouldnt be suprised if he says .050 is doable.

update, I just bought 4.030 forged pistons with 6.098 forged rods. I will be using a stock LQ9 crank (balanced as per set up). The pistons are 10.4 compression with -4cc valve reliefs. I will be milling the heads to get compression more towards 10.8 or 11.0. Now it's time for the cam selection... I am looking for a rev monster to take advantage of the forged internals because I have the stock stroke I think I will be able to get away with this as mentioned before. The block is currently at the engine shop waiting on me to bring them the internals after they are shipped so they can match the bore.

So many things running through my head it's all too confusing.

Scheduled start-up is going to be a conservative 18-24 months. The truck will not be a daily driver come August 2007.

Hope you bought 6.098 rods and not the normal 6.125 rods, I havent seen any forged 6.098 rods on the market. What wrist pin diamter does the pistons you bought ahve? If they are really for 6.098 rods they better have a .945 wrist pin or you are in deep doo doo.
