When I went to Hybrid class, I was amazed. No torque convertor, no starter, or belt driven a/c compressor. All that is on the front of the motor is the balancer and the water pump. I dont see people buying those things with intentions of going fast.

I think it's a great thing and all but the numbers don't add up.
With cylinder deactivation I thought you were supposed to be able to acheive 20+mpg with the 6.0l or 5.3l engines???
If you get a 50% increase we would be talking around 30mpg would we not???
I guess I my have to go back to first grade and take my math for beginners over again.
This may be the " New Math" I have heard about for the last 15 years finally being put to use by newer engineers???
All this technology and we still only get 20-21mpg on a full size truck??
I just don't get it.
