Default how will I know if I bent a pushrod??

my valvetrain noise has been getting a little louder progressively sicne I put the cam in... I dont know if its the springs breaking in more or what... no loss in power, no backfires or anything, sounds good, runs good... everything... I'm still running stockers... looking to get a hardened set soon though... I dont want to grenade this thing just because of a pushrod I have had too good of luck out of it.

cam specs are 224/227 .576/.588 113+3 with patriot springs...

You needed to do pushrods a while ago Ben

But I don't know that that is what's making your valvetrain louder You sure it's not that rinky dink exhaust set-up you have or the fact that you're missing header bolts?

its never done it before... I have one that backed out on the pass side... and one that broke on the driver's side...

-and BTW ***, there's nothing wrong with my exhaust setup... it sounds like garbage I guess, but it works well... I need to go to a spintech and get it over with... I might dump it behind the axle this time :off topic:

I might take a couple pushrods out this weekend and check it out... is there anything I can do besides taking them out to know if one's bent???

It only takes about an hour to take them all out and check. It would be worth it

Yeah... I just dont want to have to tear it down again... I really, honestly dont want to find anything wrong in there too... this motor has been absolutely trouble free since I've had it (almost 60K) it does a good job breaking everything else, but hasnt had any problems out of it... this would be a first... I know its minimal, and an easy fix, but I hope its just normal noise, not anything serious...

the only real way to find out is to check. but I feel the same way you do, mine has been making an ungodly noise for a while and I cant find anything wrong with it and it's not performing any worse so i'm just going to let it be.
