Max. oil temp. is higher for synthetic than dino oil but which ever you use I believe it needs to get hot enough to burn off or boil out water condensation. 210*F

Getting the oil close to 200* is good for the moisture in the oil to evaporate. Water does evaporate at lower temps, especially if you have good vacuum pulling on your crankcase.

very true, if its under vacuum it takes less heat to evaporate...

Sounds like it is in the pan and the hot oil from the turbo is dumping on it.The best place for the sensor is in the corvette location(the plate above the oil filter).

If it was truely pegged at 250+ the oil pressure would drop dramiticly at idle.

Did some looking around also. Found some decent info on a drifting/ricer forum. With their turbo apps, they are keep the oil between 185 and 210. Anything above that to them was a very bad thing. I would say that those temps sound ideal IMO.

OK Great, thanks guys. One good thing is I'm not seeing any drop in oil pressure in the least bit at idle or WOT so that's good. Maybe it's just the sensor's in a bad spot...when I find out I'll post it up.
Thanks again.

So apparently the oil sensor is supposedly where the stock one on the vettes are, right above the oil filter. That location should have the sensor. Its pretty much the only spot to put it. Looks like I might need to get an oil cooler!!

those temperatures are normal for oil on average 50 degrees hotter than the coolant
